Each Anaea ryphae seems to look a little different from each other. The upperwings are close to magenta (a pinkish red) with a bluish purple border, while the lower wings can have a cool mix of violet. This butterfly almost looks like a sunset that perhaps an artist would create, the colors really do just "mesh", there not defined like pretty much all the other butterflies we have. It's not the brightest butterfly in the world but it is quite beautiful. Origin: South America.
