The upperside of the Asterope hewitsoni has a remarkable blend of bright orange, extremely iridescent bright blue, and a deep iridescent purple that does not show up in photos and is usually visible under bright light. The entire black part pictured above is actually the deep purple. The underside has a bright orange, an odd green, and an interesting pattern. Highly recommended.
