Riker mounts are not sealed and can be easily opened to extract or reposition the butterflies simply by removing 2-4 pins that are on the sides of the frame. All riker mounts have a sawtooth hanger glued to the back and hanging hooks/nails will be included with your order. Riker mounts can also be displayed on a flat surface if you have a stand to hold them. While it is correct to assume that butterflies with black coloring aren't quite suited for these displays, it's not nearly a big deal as you might think it is, the butterfly is elevated on a 1.5 inch rod so there's quite a bit of room between the base and the butterfly so even butterflies with black do stand out.
