International Shipping
- There will be a $145 fee for every shipment, regardless of size. This $145 fee will be charged if you order one small butterfly display, or 10 big ones. Therefore it's in your best interest to place a larger order. If you have any friends interested in ordering you can combine orders. You might want to do some very early gift shopping, etc.
- Once we send in the paperwork and pay the inspection fee, the $145 fee you pay us CANNOT be refunded if you decide to cancel your order.
- Actual shipping fees will also apply to all orders. This will be a minimum of $27.50 and will vary depending on where you live an how much you order. For example, three 9x12 acrylic frames to Canada is about $30, Great Britain is about $45.00, and $55 to Australia. You can contact us for an estimate if you want. Orders will usually ship "Priority Mail International" and take 6-10 days to arrive. Some countries have stricter size limits than others so if you're interested in a 9x24, 18x18, or 18x28 case(s) you might want to contact us first to make sure it's not too big.
- Birdwing butterflies cannot be exported at this time, as they require extra fees and paperwork. Birdwing butterflies are the first 4 butterflies on gallery page 4, goliath birdwings, and any product containing birdwings such as the 8 birdwing display. If you order a product such as the Mini Paradise that normally has a birdwing (in this case the Rajah Brookeswing) than another, non-birdwing butterfly, will be used in its place.
- Since we have to file paperwork and wait for approval, your order will likely take longer to ship than domestic orders. Once we file the paperwork it should take about a week to get approval. So if you need your item by a certain date order as early as possible, as many of our displays need to be built first. We might not ship internationally in late November & December as we are swamped with orders, so Christmas shoppers should order very early!
- You should check to make sure that there are no wildlife import retrictions in your country. It is our understanding that other than CITES protected species (such as the birdwing butterflies) there are really no restrictions and fees for other countries like there are in the United States. We don't export any protected species. Your country might want to know the names of the species being imported to insure that there are no CITES protected specimens. We will provide you with the names of all of the specimens so there shouldn't be any problems.
- To place an international order, add the product below to your shopping cart. This will allow you to pay the $145 inspection/paperwork fee and for minimum extra shipping (the cart automatically charges $7.50 shipping). We will manually charge your card for additional shipping fees if necessary, for example if total shipping is $37 we will charge your card an extra $10.00.
Unfortunately, United States Fish & Wildlife Service (a completely separate entity from "customs") requires that ALL organisms, dead or alive, be cleared before entering or leaving the U.S. (Puerto Rico is ok). This requires us to purchase a yearly license and file extensive paperwork with them and pay an inspection fee for EVERY shipment we export. Please read the following carefully to avoid confusion.
